Donor Selection
At INICIO FERTILITY, we search for the ideal donor for each patient.
All our donors are young men between 20 and 30 years old who have undergone extensive testing to ensure excellent health status.
In addition to serological tests, they undergo further evaluation, including an expanded genetic study to determine if they carry any genetic diseases, as well as a compulsory psychological assessment.
Furthermore, with prior informed consent, we store a DNA sample from each donor should it be needed in the future for additional genetic testing.
Donor selection is based on the blood type and physical characteristics (race, skin, eye, and hair colour, hair type, body shape, height and weight).
Selection can be based on the genetic compatibility of the donor with the patient.
